Focusing on two distinct themes, autumn and winter white to showcase the beauty of the property, this shoot was particularly memorable for all involved. The stunning barn with its exposed brick walls and wooden beams was the ideal complement to the autumnal vibes, while the grand but cosy Soughton Hall itself provided the backdrop to the wintry nuptials.

The main house's grandeur was the perfect setting for this glamorous wedding. The decadent wallpaper, plush carpets and chandeliers added a touch of opulence to boot. With a monochromatic table setting, the team incorporated a palette of ivory, pearl and white, accentuating the setting with candlelight and a hint of festive cheer.

This local team set out to create a stunning selection of bridal looks to inspire the undecided.

When Jessica Charlotte Bridal Hair and The Wedding Fairy and Friends joined forces on this styled shoot collaboration the idea was to capture three bridal looks. “I wanted to create a variety of looks, offering inspiration for brides out there who're unsure what road to take,” Jessica tells us.

Sophie and Harry met through mutual friends while attending university in Liverpool. There was an instant attraction, thanks to their similar sense of humour.

In July 2021, Harry proposed in the Trough of Bowland, Lancashire, where the couple were away on holiday. “It wasn't a complete surprise, as we'd discussed marriage, and Harry doesn't usually book the holidays!” Sophie tells us. The exterior of Shrigley Hall is quite magnificent and is what enticed Sophie and Harry to investigate it further as a potential venue for their big day. When they had the chance to look around, they soon discovered that the interiors were equally as impressive and were quickly sold on the idea. “The wedding team were also fantastic and made our planning stress free,” Sophie says. The pair opted for the venue's All Wrapped Up package, which included the services of the venue's recommended suppliers, making life even easier.

With the date secured for 27th October 2023, planning was in full swing. Find out more about the big day in the Mar/Apr24 issue of Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding, free to download at www.yourcheshiremerseyside.wedding/free-download
"Our bridal party included our one-year-old niece accompanied by our sister-in-law, plus our puppy accompanied by Dan's little sister. Our baby niece wore a white and gold dress, and our fur baby had on green velvet accessories. Both sisters wore burgundy dresses." says real bride Maddy.

Ruth and Sam met in 2012 at a ski resort in New Zealand. It was Sam's third time there as a seasonaire, but Ruth's very first. “So, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing,” Ruth says. We're told that there's an unwritten rule when it comes to learning to ski or snowboard: you should never let your significant other teach you if you don't want it to end badly. But that season, Sam taught Ruth to snowboard and 11 years later, the two got married. “Perhaps we've broken the curse,” Ruth says. “That's not to say there weren't a few choice words muttered under my breath on occasion when she kept telling me to relax more!” After that ski season, the couple travelled together for a further two years. “It was a pretty intense way to start a new relationship, but it just worked,” Ruth says. “I like to think our personalities complement each other well.”

In 2022, the duo chose their engagement rings together; and in Barcelona that year, Ruth proposed on the balcony of their hotel overlooking a quiet courtyard in the Gothic Quarter. “No big gestures, no gimmicks, just a moment for the two of us,” she says.

Ruth and Sam were both drawn to The Palm House for different reasons. Sam spent a lot of time in Sefton Park with her grandparents as a child, so it held fond memories for her. For Ruth, she'd always envisioned an outdoor wedding surrounded by nature, but worried about the weather. Stumbling across The Palm House on Pinterest one day, was a real lightbulb moment, it offered the best of both worlds. So, they booked a viewing and were completely sold from the get-go.

The date was set for 22nd September 2023. Ruth tells us more in the Mar/Apr24 issue of Your Cheshire & Merseyside Wedding, download it for free at www.yourcheshiremerseyside.wedding/free-download
Nicky and Dave met at Tabley Point To Point, “Neither of us were looking for love, just a couple of wins on the horses,” Nicky says. “Our friend introduced us later that evening playing Cilla, and surprise, surprise we went off on our first date a week later!” Having been married before, Dave swore he wouldn't tie the knot again, but during the course of his relationship with Nicky completely changed his outlook. So, Nicky had no idea what was on his mind when he decided to propose as they'd discussed their future many times, and although it would be committed, there would never be a wedding. “I was overcome with happiness and emotion when he snuck upstairs with our twins in tow and got down on one knee,” she remembers. The couple live just down the road from Arley Hall and both knew it would be the perfect setting for their special day. “It's country, it's grand, it's statement, it's so us,” Nicky says. So, they wasted no time in securing the date for 8th September, 2023.
