Swanley Meadows

Swanley Meadows offers its couples the opportunity to enjoy a dream wedding in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Nestled at the foot of Bosley Cloud, beside the tranquil River Dane, surrounded by rural charm, the venue offers elegant luxury for your special day. Available exclusively from May to September, Swanley Meadows provides a stunning setting whether you’re planning a grand celebration or intimate gathering.

Imagine a romantic ceremony set up beneath the majestic canopy of a 200-year-old beech tree, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. This grand tree offers a natural, awe-inspiring backdrop, whether enhanced with additional décor or left in its unadorned splendour. This setting combines natural beauty with a sense of tranquillity.

Swanley Meadows is licensed for civil ceremonies with Cheshire East Registrars through Your Ceremony and is a stone’s throw from several charming churches and places of worship. The team also welcomes celebrant-led ceremonies.

Following the “I dos,” the expert bar team here, Copper Bar Co, will be ready to serve your guests reception drinks from the stylist airstream bar. Your chosen caterer can also delight them with a selection of delicious canapes.

The four giant hat tipis at Swanley Meadows provide a versatile space for your celebration. These striking structures can be seamlessly adapted to suit your needs, accommodating up to 150 guests for a seated dinner and up to 200 for a reception. The tipis can be sectioned off into separate areas to suit your needs whether you’re dreaming of a lively dancefloor, cosy chill-out zone, or dedicated indoor bar space. Additionally, a catering tent is available for your chosen caterers, ensuring seamless service and flexibility.

The expansive field space here offers endless flexibility for your celebrations, allowing you to tailor your day according to your vision. The open landscape can accommodate a variety of activities, from a lively outdoor reception and lawn games to a serene picnic. Plus, the beautifully furnished bell tents each accommodate two to five guests and are available for hire on the night of your wedding.

The team here offer the option to include a ceremonial tree-planting as part of your wedding celebration. Your chosen tree will be lovingly nurtured, and you’re welcome to visit it anytime, creating a lasting, living symbol of your love story.

What’s more, there’s even a creche on site providing care and entertainment for little guests during your special day. It offers a safe, creative, natural and fun space for kids of all ages.
