Sustainability is woven into everything Somerset Blooms does, from the suppliers owner Nathalie Somerset works with, the materials she crafts with, down to how the business is run.
That’s why Nathalie has been hard at work in her studio over the past 12 months creating a range of sustainable wedding favours. “I see the same favours at weddings such as scratch cards, lottery tickets, macarons, miniature bottles of limoncello and so on,” Nathalie explains. “They’re lovely, but I want to see something different. This is where the idea for creating something sustainable came from.”
The beautiful collection of sustainable favours features luxury seed bombs made from completely eco-friendly materials. Handmade, they’re filled with wildflower seeds, which can be planted in the ground or in pots allowing guests to watch them grow year after year as a reminder of your special day.
We also love the fragrant lavender bundles. “British flowers are close to my heart,” Nathalie shares. “They make the most romantic designs and lavender is one I include where possible.” As wedding favours, she ties small bundles together with thank you tags. They’re not only gifting something cute, but as they’re dried they’ll last a while, is scented and has plenty of uses.
